Kathryn Claire met The Lasses at the same place where The Lasses themselves had met two years earlier – an Irish Pub in Amsterdam! The three girls soon found that together they could deliver both heartfelt ballads and foot-stomping songs with equal measures of joy and musicality. After playing several concerts together in The Netherlands and Germany in 2014, Kathryn offered to help bring The Lasses to the Pacific Northwest for their first US tour in 2015. It was a huge success and the three realized they had begun not only a strong musical collaboration, but also a network of touring between the US and Europe. Their share love of traditional and original music along with their varied backgrounds make for a thrilling live performance. This is a collaboration not to be missed.

Kathryn Claire exhibits a charisma and grace on stage which is matched only by her truly unique voice and rare ability to move seamlessly across genres. She has spent years cultivating her own style and approach to music as a violinist, guitar player, singer, and songwriter. Strong fundamentals from her classical and traditional music background combined with an innate ability to improvise has made her a favorite at venues, festivals and institutions around the world. She has toured and performed extensively in the US, Japan, India, Holland, Belgium and France.

Sophie Janna and Margot Merah met in Amsterdam in 2011, at an open mic in an Irish pub called Mulligans.  The chemistry and intimacy was tangible the moment  Sophie and Margot sang together. The two women soon discovered a shared passion for telling stories through music, and before long they planned their first concert as The Lasses. The Lasses love to sing songs with a good story, regardless of whether the story began in the Appalachian mountains, on Scottish plains or in Irish hills. Bluegrass, song or ballad, The Lasses always completely immerse themselves in their music. Also, the voices of Margot and Sophie, although very different in timbre, seem to complement each other perfectly.
