The Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce is launching its first Island Oktoberfest. This fun-filled event will be hosted at the Treehouse Café, Saturday, September 17, 2016. Our beer garden will consist of 3 local breweries, coordinated by our very own Bainbridge Brewing Company.
The event opens at 2:00 PM with the ceremonial “tapping of the keg” by Bainbridge Island Mayor Val Tollefson. The outdoor beer garden is open from 2pm to 7pm with Oompah music by the Hometown Band.
At 6:00pm, indoors on the Treehouse Stage, it’s the fabulous Portland Bluegrass band
Cascade Crescendo plays original, high-energy bluegrass, jamgrass, and Americana music with captivating lead vocals by Hunter White, blazing fast mandolin licks by Aden Beck, creative, thumping bass lines by Taylor Skiles, and Scruggs-style banjo from Harrison Olk.
At 8:00 pm the Party goes into overdrive with perennial Treehouse Favorite
“I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve seen Massy Ferguson. I guess that’s a sign that I enjoy this band. Their music spans many genres from Americana, roots, folk, twang rock, alt-country, and good ol’ rock ‘n’ roll. The music is two-step friendly, and dancing is always encouraged.” –

Oktoberfest is the world’s largest Volksfest (beer festival and travelling funfair). Held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, it is a 16-day folk festival running from mid September to the first weekend in October. It started as a celebration to honor the marriage of Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen in 1810. Over the years, delicious food and fun activites have been added to complete what is world-known as the largest beer drinking festival on the planet.
