Persistence is the new name for the red-hot backup band which accompanied Yvonne McAllister for years at The Treehouse. Join them in memory of the Queen of Swing, as they perform their broad collection of tunes ranging from blues to jazz standards from the Great American Songbook. Among the musicians she has formed friendships with through the years will be Helene Smart, whose own singing has brought longtime joy to Islanders; Tom Svornich, drums; George Radebaugh, keyboard; Ted Enderle, bass; Jeff Winslow, sax and flute; Dale Brown, violin and banjo and Scott Brown, trombone.
