The touring band of drummer John Mader (Steve Miller\, John Fogarty\, Booker T\, Patti Austin\, Peter Frampton\, Bonnie Raitt) the amazing virtuoso bass player Federico Orlandin and keyboard /guitarist Troy Dexter (WilsonPhillips\, Don Felder\, Dionne Warwick) will be joined by soulful vocalist Hollye Dexter. \nThis is a joyful\, uplifting group of musicians to watch and hear. Besides the band’s celebrated virtuosic musicianship\, four-part vocal harmony adds a new dimension to Carl’s lengthy musical catalog that spans over three decades. After many years of playing with just a trio\, the addition of keyboard player and multi-instrumentalist Troy Dexter brings a second guitar and vocals into the mix. These concerts will focus on new music as well as favorites from Carl’s albums dating back to 1988. Although all the music is rooted and informed by the blues\, any single show combines rock\, jazz\, jam\, fusion and country music in both electric and acoustic settings. Fans of real music\, improvised and created in real time with no backing tracks or “playback” will enjoy the ride. Many fans join us “on the road” in an effort to see multiple shows since no two are alike! An exciting concert for all ages! \nCarl says\, “during my many years with Supertramp\, we would make a record\, then head out on an extensive tour or two to promote it. The late Rick Davies always bemoaned the fact that the record was a demo for the tour. So I try to reverse that order by taking the music on the road and fine tuning it before recording. This results in a much better record.” \nThe CVB will play songs from the new Promised Future album as well as a selection of original and non-original music from his 18-CD catalog. The focus is on Carl’s original approach to the guitar\, but set in the context of a wide variety of styles and moods. \nIn his 50-plus years of playing the instrument\, Carl has created a wildly successful\, multi-faceted career. A critically acclaimed musician\, vocalist\, songwriter\, arranger\, producer and educator with 18 albums released worldwide\, Carl has also been a member of Supertramp since 1985. He is commonly regarded as a guitar virtuoso capable of playing any style of music with remarkable mastery and conviction. DESCRIPTION:The new incredible music project from music veterans Drew Holloway and Korum Bischoff. \n\n\n\n\nWestern Arrow \nDrew and Korum met through music when Korum was invited by Drew and bandmate Jack Forman to join their highly successful family music act Recess Monkey who\, with Korum\, released six albums including the Amazon Original Novelties which earned the band a Grammy nomination. During the COVID-19 lockdowns of 2020\, Drew and Korum began trading files and ideas for non-kids’ centric music\, resulting in two distinct projects—Western Arrow and The Phantom Years\, a creative outlet for their darker and moodier side\, which released it’s debut along with co-conspirators Jherek Bischoff and Calder Bischoff in the spring of 2022. \nDrew \nDrew Holloway is grateful that his Mom sang to him\, his dad showed him how to play jazz chords and his older brother didn’t kill him when he raided his record collection. From The Beatles and The Beach Boys to 80’s rap and XTC to The Smiths and Radiohead\, Drew’s influences are varied. Of all the instruments he’s owned over the years the most pivotal purchase came in December of 1993\, a Tascam PortaStudio. The four-track was a gift from the songwriting gods. Sketches became songs\, layer by layer. Fast forward to Spring of 2020. Home recording was the only recording we were going to do for a long time. Locked down and locked in\, sketches once again magically became songs. File-sharing fun and COVID-relief. Western Arrow was born. \nKorum \nA jazz drummer at heart\, Korum has been applying those sensibilities to other styles for decades as the drummer for The Dead Science. A non-profit arts director and former drumming instructor\, Korum has always kept music at the center of his life. The son of a musician\, he grew up in tight quarters aboard a sailboat where he developed his passion for music-making alongside his brother Jherek. Traveling the globe aboard their boat\, he got to play with musicians from many different cultures and learn about a variety of styles. That experience has enabled Korum to be able to plug into diverse musical situations. From music for kids to drum parts for Amanda Palmer\, Xiu Xiu\, and many others\, Korum enjoys finding ways to compliment whatever project he’s working on. \n\n\n  \nTickets available here!
